Issues surrounding Social Security benefits must be resolved before a personal injury case settles. Be sure to request a Benefit Summary Page from the SSA for your client. It will show what type of government benefits (if any) the client is receiving and the amount of benefits the client has received in the past. Allow two to four weeks to receive a response.
